Come to a Puff Party and fall down the rabbit hole…
Puffs At Play was formed in a bid to create unique parties that showcase the huge talent of local artists and provide a place for guests to frolick in costumed splendour. Puff Parties lure friends into a world of revelry… down into the ‘rabbit hole’, in magical ’Alice in Wonderland’ fashion.
The Puff Girls stage Puff Parties every few months, featuring:
- funky and upbeat house music,
- rising musicians: DJs, Singers, Percussionists, Saxophonists
- emerging visual artists: Painters, Fashion Designers, Make-up Artists, Magicians
- creative movement: Dancers, Acrobats, Theatre Performers
- a friendly, open-minded, energetic crowd who have been drawn to the party by personal invitation from a Puff Girl or from the friend of a Puff Girl.
- a unique and different setting for each party in svelte city venues.
All Puffs At Play events aim for the extravagant, turning the ordinary into the extraordinary for an entire evening.

How did Puffs At Play start?
Originating in Perth Australia the Puff girls are a group of friends who got their nickname from the Japanese manga cartoon called the Power Puff Girls. Since 2002 the Puff Girls have been building a network of like-minded party revellers via the MSN Puff website http://groups.msn.com/puffs. This website promoted local events, music and entertainers and celebrated the unique lifestyle that Perth embodies. To accommodate the rapid growth of Puffs At Play, www.puffsatplay.com was developed and launched in September 2006.
Zeroing in on unique Party Venues
Puffs At Play seek out those venues that are new, different or just a little unfamiliar for those individuals who are eager to try new things.
Celebrating local talent
With a strong emphasis on promoting local artists, Puffs At Play events aim to provide opportunities for local-grown fashion, performing and visual arts, and dance music to be seen and enjoyed by Puff members. Puffs At Play support anyone and anything creative! Eg, makeup artists, DJs, vocalists, musicians, fashion designers, painters, photographers, dancers, theatre performers, comedians and other talented individuals sprouting out of Perth and London.
The people make the party
The strength of Puffs At Play is the ecclectic mix of people who like to mouth-open dance at Puff Parties (for an explanation of mouth-open dancing please refer to any photo album on this site and observe the large number of wide-stretched jaws gracing the covers). Puffs At Play events aren’t formally advertised, rather news spreads by word of (wide open) mouth and email invitation through friends, so that the whole party tends to be connected in one way or another.
