What else would we rather have been doing the hot morning after New Years Eve? The answer was clear with tickets to the New Years Day Puff Boat Soiree selling out 2 months before the event. Lucky guests spent the day basking amidst a 100 guest private party sponsored by Maxxium, on a 2 level vessel with covered and open deck areas, cruising to Rottnest Island for swimming, seal spotting and dancing.

Lustrous music resounded throughout the boat dished out by Puffs At Play’s favourite house DJs Jonno Choy, Mr Staf, Sammy J and Gavin Carey who were officially accompanied by the commanding talents of vocal vixen Marnie Kent. Throughout the balmy day, several wanton singers and rap artists lept to the stage unexpectedly from the throbbing crowd, who were nothing short of brilliant on the ‘mic’.

The cool bottom deck was a flurry of entwined limbs buried by the comfortable mass of wild and wonderful boat toys that each guest had been invited to bring, including inflatable animals, water guns and rainbow coloured hammocks.

The breezy top deck was a shrine to the sun gods, the perfect vantage point for sipping cocktails and surveying the captivating island scenery. With people dancing, hugging and outbursts of laughter apparent from before the boat even left the dock, the day was set to be a corker. Indeed it was one of constant banter and bonding that lasted late into the afternoon, leaving every guest with a overwhelming sense of goodwill and contentment as they finally collapsed onto shore that night.
