Punters who followed the Red Rabbit in April were pleased to hear she had at last resurfaced from her illusive burrow to welcome everyone to le Chateau D’ Hare on Friday, 16 September 2005, for one bizarre evening of social splendour. As with all Puffs At Play soirees le Chateau D’ Hare was a vivacious celebration of talented, underground artists in Perth who offered entertainment in a variety of areas; musical, visual and performance. Although it was clear from the start that the diverse bevy of guests who arrived would serve as an art exhibit of their own.

The much awaited night, sponsored by Bacardi Rum, saw house-music maestros Jonno Choy, Jazzpimp, Mr Staf and Miss T set the aural mood on the decks with an inspirational blend of dance tracks which had guests grooving on both the upstairs and downstairs dance floors. This was later accompanied by jazz artist Marnie Kent and new comer Elle Young doing a duo of belting vocals. Also on stage, Nicolas Van wowed the throng of dance-floor enthusiasts with his hour long set on his sassy saxophone.

The downstairs stage showcased artist Jetro Gaete throughout the event as he performed live painting images of the guests surrounding him. He finished with a momentous, collage piece by the end of the night. Delectable Perth label Truby Desaute produced a themed foray of local fashion to add to, yet not interrupt, the furore as worn by both singers and the two Puffs At Play hostesses, Benita Ferrari and Nicole Van Dijken.

The energetic party continued right through til 6am Saturday with both levels of the club utilised by some 800 guests.
